Granada vs Sevilla
Granada are set to face a tough Sevilla side in their bid to move out of the relegation zone in their clash today. Last weekend they were seen off in a 3-1 defeat to Celta Vigo, this keeps them as the only team in La Liga without a win in this La Liga season. Granada currently find themselves bottom of the table with only 5 points, however they are only 5 points away from safety. Their only win this season occurred in mid week in the latest round of the Copa Del Rey against Osasuna, will their confidence found in this match be carried on into their fixtures coming up. Europa League champions Sevilla currently find themselves in 3rd place in La Liga with 27 points, level on points with Barcelona after a 2-1 win over Valencia on match day 13. Their only defeats this season have come against former La Liga champions Atlético Madrid and Barcelona.
Prediction: I think Granada will put up a hard fight against visitors Sevilla, it may not be enough for a win, but they may score a consolation goal in the game. 3-1 Sevila.
Barcelona vs Real Madrid

Leganés vs Villarreal
La Liga new boys Leganés are finding it hard to cope in La Liga and experienced their 8th defeat of the season last weekend to Espanyol in what was a 3-0 defeat. Leganés find themselves only 4 points above the drop zone and would really like to stay in La Liga as long as they possibly can. Villarreal were overcome last week in a shock 2-0 defeat against Alavés, this has given them back to back league defeats without scoring, when in the week before they lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao. Their current form is a worry for them with them losing 4 of their last 5 games.
Prediction: Both teams come into the match looking for a win to end their poor form so far in their campaigns, although Villarreal may have some quality in their side I think they may miss out on the 3 points in this game. 1-1.
Atlético Madrid vs Espanyol
Atletico easily overcame Osasuna in their last La Liga fixture to put them back into winning ways after back to back league defeats, one of which coming in a 3-0 defeat by their rivals Real Madrid. That defeat to Real Madrid being their only home defeat of the season. Their previous 5 home matches saw them pick up 4 wins and a draw. Atl´tico currently find themselves in 4th place in La Liga with 24 points, 9 points behind top of the table Real Madrid and 3 points behind 2nd and 3rd place Barcelona and Sevilla. Espanyol in their previous La Liga fixture saw them defeat Leganes 3-0 to extend their own unbeaten run to 7 matches. The win for Espanyol also meant it was their first back to back win of the season. Espanyol have played well away from home this season, with their last loss away from home coming against Sevilla on the first day of the season, since then they had 3 wins and 2 draws away from home. Espanyol currently lie 12th in La Liga and a win could see them into the top half of La Liga.
Prediction: I could see this being a close match, between the two teams and it should in my opinion provide for an entering game of football. 3-2 Espanyol.

Real Betis vs Celta Vigo
Last weekend, Real Betis took on Eibar away from home and lost 3-1, this hindered their chances of edging ever closer to the top half of the La Liga table. They currently lie 14th in the league with 14 points, 6 points off of the top half. However their defense this season has been their main problem and is one thing that they will certainly need to look at strengthening come the January window, as their defence so far this season has cost them 25 goals in their opening 13 fixtures. Celta Vigo on the other hand are in fairly good form at the moment, beating bottom of the table Granada in their last outing 3-1. They currently find themselves in 9th in the La Liga table ith 20 points, 2 points off of Europa League places and 4 points off of Champions League places.
Predition: I see this match being a draw with both sides having a real go at trying to outdo the other on the field. 2-2 draw.
Athletic Bilbao vs Eibar
Athletic Bilbao will look to get back to winning ways after their unbeaten run in away games was ended on Monday after excellent counter attacking football by Las Palmas saw their streak ended. Bilbao would have seen themselves in the table if they picked up a result against Las Palmas, however due to the loss they see themselves move down to 8th in the league with 20 points to their name, 2 points off of Europa League spots. A win for Bilbao could see them move above Eibar in the league and perhaps into Europa League spots. Eibar on the other hand continued their good form after beating Real Betis in their previous match. The weekend before they saw off Celta Vigo and they will look to make it a third win in a row for them. Eibar currently find themselves 7th in the table, 1 point off of Europa League places.
Prediction: I see Eibar coming away with a win in this game, they will want to capitalize on Bilbao’s loss of momentum and confidence after Monday’s match. 2-1 Eibar.
Alavés vs Las Palmas
La Liga new boys are having a flying start to their life in La Liga with some great performances so far this season including draws against Atletico, defeating Barcelona and Villarreal away from home. Alaves currently find themselves at 13th in La Liga with 16 points to their name. Las Palmas, are wanting to build on their great 3-1 victory against Bilbao which saw them make use of some great counter-attacking football. They currently find themselves at mid-table in La Liga with 19 points to their name and them being in 10th position, a win for them could see them stay in the top half and potentially move into 6th place pending on other results.
Prediction: I think this will be a great match to watch on a Sunday afternoon. It will be end to end football with both teams creating plenty of chances, I could however see Las Palmas pick up an away win in the end. 3-2 Las Palmas.
Sporting Gijón vs Osasuna
Both Sporting and Osasuna are both looking for ways out of the relegation zone in this coming fixture and it could certainly be a great one to watch. Sporting Gijón have not had a particularly good start to this seasons campaign with only 2 wins all season and their losing streak standing at 3 consectutive games. They are currently 18th in La Liga with 9 points to their name, only 1 point off of safety. On the other we have Osasuna who have had just as bad a start as their counterparts, with only 1 win and 3 draws to their name for the whole season. In total they find their points tally at 7 points seeing them at 19th place in the league. A win for them could also see them go level on points with Deportivo, pendin on Deportivo’s result on Monday.
Prediction: I can see this being a boring draw, despite both teams needing a win, neither of them have momentum behind them or confidence. 1-1 draw.
Valencia vs Malaga
Valencia haven’t had a good season so far and find themselves in an uncharacteristic 16th place with only 11 points to their name, only 2 points off of the drop zone. Valencia will go into this game with some confidnce after seeing off Leganes in their mid week Copa del Rey match. However they have gone 5 games with a win in their last 5 La Liga matches with 3 losses and 2 draws. So far this season Valencia have only managed 3 wins in total and 2 draws, losing the rest of their games.Malaga will look to continue their unbeaten run which they built upon last week with a 4-3 thriller win over Deportivo. Their unbeaten run now stands at 3 consecutive games with a draw and 2 wins. Malaga currently find themselves in 11th place in La Liga with 19 points from 13 games.
Prediction: I see Malaga picking up a win away from home to carry on their unbeaten run and carry on their run to 4 games unbeaten. 2-0 Malaga.
Monday 5th December 2016
Deportivo vs Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad are having a good season so far winning 5 of their last 6 games. As a result they are full of confidence going into this away fixture and they should really be able to carry on with their form. They currently find themselves in Europa League places, 5th in the league with 23 points, 1 point away from Champions League places. Deportivo on the other hand find themselves just one place above the relegation zone with just 10 points to their name. They have only won 1 of their last 13 matches in all competitions.
Prediction: An easy win away from home for Real Sociedad who will look to carry on their good form going in to this match. 3-0 Real Sociedad.
