Saturday 10th December

17.00 GMT – Crotone (20th) vs Pescara (18th)

A massive game at the bottom of the table in Serie A – if Crotone lose this, it’s hard to see them staying up. 11 losses already in the season shows how much they are struggling.

Prediction: An absolutely crucial tie for Crotone, I can see their home advantage earning them a massive three points. Crotone 2-1 Pescara

19.45 GMT – Sampdoria (9th) vs Lazio (4th)

Sampdoria are on a good run and have recently got back into the top half. Lazio, on the other hand, are struggling in the race for Champions League places following their derby defeat last weekend. Lazio do have a good record against Sampdoria so will be hoping to prove they deserve to stay close to the top few reams.

Prediction: A tough game for both sides – Sampdoria are in better form, but Lazio will want a big response after their derby defeat. Sampdoria 1-2 Lazio

Sunday 11th December

11.30 GMT – Cagliari (12th) vs Napoli (6th)

Napoli are beginning to look threatening again, and dismantled Inter last week with ease. Cagliari have been consistently inconsistent, but shouldn’t worry too much about relegation.

Prediction: This should be straightforward for Napoli. Cagliari 1-3 Napoli

14.00 GMT – Atalanta (5th) vs Udinese (14th)

Still the surprise package of the season, Atalanta will be hoping to keep up their amazing form despite their setback against Juventus last weekend. Udinese aren’t in the best of form but a win last time out sees them 10 points clear of the bottom three for now.

Prediction: Atalanta will be keen to make sure their defeat to Juve last week was just a temporary stop to their great form, and I think they’ll get back to winning ways. Atalanta 3-0 Udinese

14.00 GMT – Bologna (16th) vs Empoli (17th)

With Crotone and Pescara playing the night before, Empoli will know what a win means to their chances of survival. They’ve lost three in a row, and are 6 points behind Bologna who will feel a bit unlucky to be so far down the table.

Prediction: Another big game at the bottom – I’m backing Bologna to put significant daylight between themselves and the bottom 4 by winning. Bologna 1-0 Empoli

14.00 GMT – Palermo (19th) vs Chievo (13th)

Palermo’s new manager faces a kind first home game against a Chievo side in poor form. After an improved performance against Fiorentina, Palermo will hope to pull themselves closer to safety here

Prediction: Palermo are improving, and it’s quite likely that they’ll win this game. Palermo 1-0 Chievo

14.00 GMT – Torino (7th) vs Juventus (1st)

A big Turin derby, with Torino begin to slip away from the top and Juventus hoping to extend their lead at the top ahead of the big game on Monday between their nearest rivals. Juventus, usually with a solid back line,  may be worrying about facing one of the most in form strikers in Europe in Andrea Belotti – and Joe Hart will want to prove a point to Man City.

Prediction: This is a tough game for both sides, but Torino should be able to cause Juventus a lot of problems and I can see them winning. Torino 2-1 Juventus

19.45 GMT – Inter (10th) vs Genoa (11th)

Inter are struggling this season after spending big, and don’t look like being close to European football qualification. After a good win against Fiorentina, they just collapsed at Napoli – which is pretty much the story of their season.

Prediction: Inter need a win to kickstart their season, but their inconsistency makes them very difficult to predict – so I’ll go for a draw. Inter 1-1 Genoa

Monday 12th December

18.00 GMT – Fiorentina (8th) vs Sassuolo (15th)

Performance-wise, Fiorentina are beginning to struggle – they were a bit lucky to beat Palermo last time out. They need to start improving, as do Sassuolo – but the effects of their delayed game in Europe will no doubt hit them hard.

Prediction: Should be a good game, but FIorentina should have the advantage due to Sassuolo playing on Friday. Fiorentina 2-0 Sassuolo

20.00 GMT – Roma (2nd) vs AC Milan (3rd)

A massive game for these two, especially seeing as they’ll know how Juventus did the day before. If Juventus win, and this ends in a draw then that should be the title race over. So expect a very good game here, hopefully with lots of goals!

Prediction: A game neither side will want to lose, but I can see Milan’s youthfulness being helpful in this game. Roma 2-3 AC Milan
